Reverte™ is a family of products which, when added to a range of commonly used polymers makes them ultimately safely biodegradable. Reverte™ has been in continuous development and supply into global marketplace for over 20 years becoming the Reverte™ range in 2005.
Wholly developed and manufactured by Wells PM, supported by a state-of-the-art Material Innovation Centre and an extensive manufacturing capability, Wells PM is able to provide a total service.
Wells PM has played a significant role within ASTM over recent years, in particular being the Technical Lead in the development of Standards in sub-committee D20.96 for polymers that ‘biodegrade in the environment’ which is responsible for ASTM D6954-24.
Reverte™ treated polyethylene film has been tested under ASTM D6954-24 conditions by globally renowned and respected independent laboratory in aerobic composting conditions using test method ASTM D 5338.
Reverte™ showed >94% biodegradation after only 180 days, demonstrating Reverte™ biodegradable additives are an effective method to render standard polyolefin films biodegradable, passing the 90% biodegradation mark, which internationally, is considered ‘totally biodegradable’.
Reverte™ holds a number of important quality marks, recognising not only the compliance of Reverte™ with local standards but also the quality and manufacturing procedures, controls and processes in place to deliver the highest possible quality and support of any biodegradable additive manufacturer.
