PFAS Regulatory Update:
The EU’s PFAS restrictions will apply from 2026: food packaging must meet PPWR limits, while non-food applications may benefit from a 6.5-year derogation under REACH. Polymeric PFAS used in extrusion must be cleaned before switching to food packaging. These rules affect products in the EU and Northern Ireland, but not in England, Scotland, or Wales.
